The Cambodian Center for Independent Media (CCIM) is a media development organization engaged in the following activities: producing radio and online programs; media reporting on news websites and social media platforms; training of journalists and aspiring journalists, promotion and training on media and information literacy; training and networking with citizen journalists, and advocacy on media-related rights.
Position : IT Officer
Location : Phnom Penh
Work Status : Full Time
Report to : Operation Director
Job Summary:
The IT Officer is responsible for innovating and maintaining CCIM’s ICT systems and networks and other IT related work.
Duties:
- Maintenance CCIM’s servers/database system
- Establish CCIM’s servers both local and online
- Maintenance and manage CCIM’s servers/database system regularly
- Maintenance and repairs to systems at all level
- Ensure CCIM servers secured and smoothly operated
- Manage networking, hardware and software
- Perform computer/IoT devices check-up regularly
- Maintenance network infrastructure regularly
- Control software licensing
- Ensure CCIM network, hardware and software run smoothly
- Ensure CCIM network securely operated
- Produce and update standard installation software form
- Innovate and improve technical development of CCIM’s ICT system and networks
- Produce and update IoT inventory list and check its life spans
- Produce workplan, report and procurement
- Produce workplan for computer/IoT devices check-up
- Produce monthly and annual maintenance reports
- Prepare incident reports (cyber-attacks)
- Participate in procurement process and committee
- Assist the development of policy, guideline in related to ICT
- Assist to develop ICT policy or related policy or guidelines for internal use
- Provide orientation to CCIM’s staffs to apply those related policy or guideline
- Identification and suggest prioritization of IoT devices need in each financial year
- Communicate with partners regarding to IT filed
- Provide training on IT to CCIM’s staffs or partners
- Provide training to CCIM’s staffs and its’ partners on IT and new technology, digital safety and security
- Participate in the training on IT if assigned by supervisor
Job Requirement:
- Proven working experiences as an IT officer or relevant experiences
- Excellence knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
- Expertise in data center management
- Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
- Good English language skills
- Highly self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills with ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team
- Be able to travel to province and work under pressure
- A passionate and energetic team member with a genuine interest in working to develop independent and professional media, promote human rights and democratic governance
