The Cambodian Center for Independent Media (CCIM) is a media development organization engaged in the following activities: producing radio and online programs; media reporting on news websites and social media platforms; training of journalists and aspiring journalists, promotion and training on media and information literacy; training and networking with citizen journalists, and advocacy on media-related rights.
Position : Sales and Marketing Officer
Location : Phnom Penh

Report to : Media Director
Job Summary:
The Sales and Marketing Officer is responsible for marketing and generating revenues to support VOD’s operations.
Duties:
- Product development and promotions
- In collaboration with the different units of the department, initiate, review, and improve existing and new products and/or services for marketability.
- Propose pricing and incentives for each product and/or services.
- Develop promotional strategies for the products and/or services.
- Work closely with concerned units of the department in implementing the promotional strategies.
- Sales and marketing plans and reports
- Prepare periodic sales and marketing plans
- Prepare monthly report of sales and marketing activities, outputs and income
- Prepare, maintain and update records of existing and potential partners and clients
- Develop customer relations plan to ensure smooth, sustained and productive business relationship with clients and partners.
- Work closely with the Online Unit in monitoring and reporting online revenues
- Conduct sales activities
- Conduct direct sales activities with existing and potential clients for the following, but not limited to, products and services:
- Advertising on VOD websites, social media platforms and other sites affiliated to VOD;
- Sponsorship or advertising on online and/or radio programs;
- Promotional articles and multi-media promotions; and
- Subscription and membership programs.
- Explore partnership with advertising agencies subject to approval by the VOD management committee.
- Develop marketing proposal for various products and/or services in collaboration with concerned units and teams for submission to bidding or requests.
- Collaboration with different units related to sales and marketing activities
- Work closely with the Online Unit on the following activities:
- Assignment of website spaces for display advertising;
- Designing, presentation, and updating of marketing materials on the websites and social media platforms;
- Installing and updating of advertising plugins on the websites and monitoring the results thereof;
- Generating user data from websites and social media platforms for analysis for sales and marketing purposes
- Work closely with the Production Unit and concerned teams in integrating advertising and sponsorship in online and/or radio programs.
- Work closely with News Unit in developing marketing proposals for paid promotional articles and multi-media materials.
Job Requirement:
- Cambodian national. Women are encouraged to apply
- Must have experience in sales and marketing, or related income generation activities. Experience with radio and online sales and marketing is an advantage
- University degree on marketing, business management, or equivalent
- Demonstrated experience in the negotiation, drafting and execution of sales contracts.
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks to meet deadlines under pressure
- Sound understanding of sales in the private sector
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Email, Internet)
- Good English language skills
- Highly self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills with ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team
- Be able to travel to province and work under pressure
- A passionate and energetic team member with a genuine interest in working to develop independent and professional media, promote human rights and democratic governance
